Sam Keith

Born in Wichita Falls, Texas in 1939, Sam Keith grew up among the oil fields, farms and ranches of North Texas on the Red River. This was tough country; oil field remnants, tornado alley, real cowboys, extreme temperatures, all of which provided a diverse background of memories. Keith is a chemical engineer, rancher, collector of books, and a lover of music.

Keith lives and works near Woodville, Texas and in the mountains of Colorado. He works in watercolor, acrylics, mixed media, and fine art photography. Keith has studied painting and drawing with Jerry Newman, watercolor with Frank Gerrietts and Don Andrews, and water media with Stephen Quiller. He has studied photography thru the Santa Fe Workshops under noted photographers Keith Carter, Tony O`Brien and Linde Waidhofer.
